single blisters, red, burning skin

I have had some blisters appear on my hand. The day before they appeared, the skin in the area was pink with no irritation. 24 hours later, I had random blisters appear in the areas that were pink the day before. The blisters are not clustered, nor are they itchy. They hurt though. When washing my hands, when the water hits the effected area, the area turns bright red and burns. At this point, it doesn't seem to be spreading. Any ideas on what this could be?
