I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I hurt my hand skiing and went to the hospital. They took X-rays and couldn't see an y breaks but because I was in so much pain casted it anyways. 2 weeks later I went to the doctor to have it looked at and again x-rays were taken but nothing showed. They then sceduled me for a bone scan. The bone scan showed that I have 2 fractured bones in my wrist. They put me back in a cast. After 2 more weeks I went for more x-rays and again nothing showed. I was told that as your bones heal you can see the calcium deposits on the x-rays. They took me out of the cast but my wrist is still really sore. I am confused as to why the fractures show up on the bone scan but not on the x-rays and why the x-rays do not show that my bones are healing. Any thoughts?
