Finger Pain

I have had pain for over 5 years. I have had carpal tunnel surgery but it gave me no relief with my finger pain. I recently hand lower back surgery where my lumbar disk were all fused with a plate. I have had some doctors tell me that my finger pain was coming from my thoracic spine. Could the fusing of all of my lower vertebra have possibly realigned my thoracic disk, freeing the nerve that was causing my pain? Since I had L-1 to L-5 fused using a plate and screws I do not have my finger pain anymore
