My brother has had his hair fall out in patches for the last 2 months. The spots are about the size of a quarter, all the hair in the area comes out, and hair has kinda grown back their sparsely but is white.
Of course it's really bothering him, as it would anybody. I think it's also scary and don't want it to happen to me!
He saw his primary doctor, who made an appt. with a specialist. Of course the soonest time isn't until the end of June.
I researched on the internet and saw a picture of alopecia areata and it looks exactly like this.
Does anyone have any ideas on treatments for this, herbal treatments, or anything else?
My brother says he wont even go swimming, he's afraid people will think he has some kind of dreaded kooties!!

  • a mixture of castor oil, olive oil and almond oil in equal proportions can also be used to nourish, strengthen and promote the growth of hair. Covering the head with a moist, warm towel immediately after the massage will help in maximizing the results as the oil penetrates deep into the scalp. :D

  • Hair loss occurs for many reasons. Some causes, such as hormonal changes, are considered natural, while others signal serious health problems. Some conditions are confined to the scalp, while others reflect disease processes throughout the body. spa los angeles
