  • Do you have any information about minoxidil. Hello Neil...do check this Minoxidil Side Effects | Drugs.com although i can personally say that i wont ever recommend Minoxidil nor Rogaine in treatment of balding hair...go for natural or home remedies...:)

  • You can find information about minoxidil on wikipediaFrom what I know, it's a vasodialator which opens up the blood vessels and and allows for better circulation to the scalp and hair follicles. I've used a product in the past called Avacor which contains minoxidil, the hair loss did subside but I didn't like the fact that I had to use it every day... but I suppose if you were really motivated and didn't mind applying it all the time then it could work for you. The good thing is that it's FDA approved and has been clinically tested.I wrote a brief article about a new medication that contains minoxidil called caproxen, if you are adamant about trying a medication with minoxidil in it, then you might as well go for the cheapest.... Rogaine is just so expensive.

  • From what I've read on this site about Minoxidil treatment and side effects, it seems it has less to zero effects on men, but CAN affect the fetus of pregnant women...I would be careful with that and would only take medication/treatment under medical "approval".
