Just curious if anyone else has had a similar problem with their hair, since my Doctor doesn't seem to think its an issue but I'd like to find a solution!
I've had long hair almost my whole life (like really long, half-way down my back). I cut it once in high school, and it grew back pretty quick. I decided to cut it again three years ago (I was 22) and it hasn't grown an inch since. No new medications (taking birth control but the same pill I've been on since before I cut my hair the first time), no thyroid problems, and I'm not a high-stress person either. And this seems to be confined to my head, it's not affecting the hair on the rest of my body. I have thick hair, no baldness in the family, and the texture of my hair hasn't changed since it stopped growing either. I rarely straighten it, never use a hair-drier and have never dyed my hair. No itchy head or anything either. Very confused!!
I love my long hair, and I only cut it the second time for locks of love when me and a few friends decided to donate. I miss it A LOT.
I should probably also mention that I am going in for a diagostic laprascopy in a couple of weeks since my doctor is worried about endometriosis due to some severe menstrual pains... any possibility that this could have interfered with my hair growth for the past three years even though it's a problem that's only appeared in the last couple of months?
Anyway, just wondering if has anyone has ever had anything like this happen before?? Or any suggestions as to anything else I could try/suggest to my Doctor?
Any help would be really appreciated!
