I just think I have that condition by the symptoms and that makes my hair look bad and worse sometimes. It's like I have normal hairs in most number but a lot too of those with strange texture and dark colour. If someone know about it I hope you share it. Since now, thank you for your attention.

  • Hello,
I have read your query, but I really don’t have any idea about it. I wish i could help you. I can only suggest you to take care of your health as much as you can. Try to include fruits and veggies in your diet avoid junk foods it will be injurious for your health.

  • The only thing you can do is take finasteride or another 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. I had/have the same thing. Your hair starts to look really ugly. Basically, the hair follicle itself gets deformed and your hair starts to resemble pubic-like hair which is almost impossible to comb. The hair quality decreases significantly and your hair texture changes a lot. In my case, the onset of APKH started a year after I had Male Patterned Baldness (MPB).

From my experience I can tell you the following, do not expect your hair to recover entirely. Yes, it can improve, but chances are very slim that your hair will become as straight and smooth as it once was. It will, most likely, not look as beautiful as it once was.

It really sucks and dealing with APKH makes MPB look like a joke.
