WHAT is wrong with me?

I am going crazy.

I am so freaked out. I have been experiencing symptoms of sensory loss in my forearms and hands for about two months now. Sometimes, I feel like I can feel the same type of feeling in my legs and ankles.

I also have been a headache sufferer all of my life and I cannot shake the feeling that I have a brain tumor, or some other form of cancer.

I have been to the doctor but only complained of my arm/hand numbness at the time because, as I mentioned, the headaches have always been an issue for me. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome but I really do not think this is what I have.

I have no pain in my hands or fingers. I do have pain in my left wrist when I put pressure on it, but not my right, yet they are BOTH numb.

I just recently put in a request to be seen again, but I would appreciate any insight anyone may have.

Thanks in advance

  • I had something similar where I would wake up with numbness in my forearms, along the lower portion down through my fingers. It really worried me and I thought I was getting ready to have a heart attack but my doctor came up with the carpal tunnel diagnosis too, even though like you I doubt that's what was going on. He advised me never to rest my arms on a chair as it would put pressure on nerves and advised me to get a heavy pair of socks I wasn't using, cut the toe section out, and put them on my arms when I slept or was just sitting around the house. :rolleyes:It sounds and looks silly as can be, but might be of some help. The condition has since resolved itself over the past year and went away as mysteriously as it came about.Good luck and try not to worry too much.

Report paresthesia (numbness/tingling in hands and feet). It might be some sort of nerve issue.
