10 days ago I returned from a holiday in Crete. The day before I was due home I noticed two pains , one in each leg. I am ridiculously easy to bruise and assumed they were just that. They suddenly grew to large lumps one on my shin and on the other leg just left of my shin in the muscle. They protrude dramatically from the surface of the skin and can be seen under leggings, they have no apparent puncture marks common of bites. I have also been taking antihistamines for a week with no difference. They are no longer painful and the one seems to be getting bigger. They are very hard with no sign of puss, or weeping. I went to my nurse practitioner today and she referred me to the doctor having no clue whA they were, he then sent me too A&E as he also had never seen anything like it. Finally he established they aren't a bite, they aren't an abscess, and don't seem to be the viral infection as there are just the two large (3cm being the largest) lumps. I have stumped 3 medical professionals and am getting anxious and having night terrors about them being squeezed and me screaming. Desperate to get it sorted, I had a cough and wheezing at the same time I got the lumps but I feel that was more coincidence, I also have an off on fever, none of my friends I was in close contact with have anything similar and no one I know who went to the same place has these ailments either.
