Please could somebody give me some help with finding out what is going on!
I have been suffering for around 5 years on and off and every few months go back and have thyroid, diabetes, hormones, you know, full bloods checked - never come back with anything other than "normal".
I am in some ways relieved - I don't particularly want to have anything wrong with me but I am so frustrated! I am 36, female, happily married and I used to be very active, a professional singer/dancer of 10 years. I gave up due to a slight hearing loss that led to hyperacusis and tinnitus and so I now have to avoid loud environments. I have been working in administrative positions since then. But I have gone through times of depression, regret etc however I feel the black cloud has lifted now.
I unfortunately though have over the past few years had a string of viruses, intestinal upsets put down to virals, had colonoscopies etc, have been told I have IBS as nothing else came up. I am constantly tired out. I keep trying on stronger days to start a low impact exercise plan, but am shattered by day 3 of what to me seems highly achievable for my age and weight and then happen to come down with yet another cold or something. I have a constant sore throat, just recenly have "blurry" eyes, headaches and feel a cloudy brain and forgetful. My Doctor says it is all mood/emotion related and will go over time but, how long? It really has been around for along time!

  • It sounds like if you could have chronic fatigue immunity dysfunction syndrome. This can appear very viral like and flares can appear as if you have a virus. Exercising with this will usually leave one feeling shattered (it will bring in a range of symptoms). IBS usually coexists with this condition. I suggest to find a doctor who specialises in this to get this ruled out (most doctors are quite naive about this illness and arent up to date with it, so i suggest you research it and go to your own doctor armed with info on it).. but it appears to me there is a strong possibility that this could actually be your issue. http://wwcoco.com/cfids/bernesx.html (has good symptom list based on actual studies)
