Hello. I have been a sufferer of anxiety for quite some time now and it has worsened x10 since i have started university. Anyways, a little over a month ago i was under extreme stress. I was having trouble in my relationship, i had alooooot of homework to do that was piling up, and on top of that my pet that i loved very much died. On the last day of this stressful period I had what i would call a break down, I cried in my bed very very hard while feeling extreme sadness and anxiety. I cried until my eyes hurt and I had no more energy left to cry. This occured at night time and shortly after finishing the massive amount of homework I had to do following the break down I went to sleep. The next day, I felt very very run down. Later on I developed a fever, cough, and runny nose. Ever since that break down occured my body just hasn't felt right. I have felt more fatigued, I still feel like I have a bit of a cold and it has been a month. Could the signifcant amount of stress I went through have weakened my immune system, causing me to get sick? I don't feel sick anymore but I still kind of have a cough and phlegm. I also frequently get chest pains and palpitations. Has my anxiety really been so bad for so long that it is now making me sick? Any help would be appreciatedReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
