Strange symptoms

Hi all! I was wondering if maybe you could give some insight into what might be wrong with me...

Some info about me first... I am a 20 year old female from Australia who is a full time student who also works 15+ hrs a week (as a check out chick... easy work). I am studying psychology and I am right in the midst of exams - my first one for the semester is tomorrow.

I was diagnosed with depression about 5 or 6 years ago and have been on medication since about then (3 different meds, but have been on this one for about a year - cymbalta (~90mgs a day)). My depression is pretty much under control, I regularly see a psychiatrist and I am generally doing okay, although I do still have my bad days (especially at "that time of the month"). I am also on the pill which I have been on for about 3 or 4 years - but not for contraceptive reasons.

Anyway, my symptoms at the moment... The last few days I've been feeling really numb all over. I try touching my head and I can't feel myself touching it and the same with my nose and legs and everywhere (even my "private parts"), I seem to have no sensation anywhere. It does periodically get better and I can feel things but for the past 24 hrs it's been there consistently probably 95% of the time (of course, I don't know when I'm sleeping but when I've been awake). It's been quite cold here (well not really cold compared to other parts of the world but for QLD it's been cold) and I seem to feel the cold more than others, although it seems to be that I get this numbness after I'm really really cold - although now I don't seem to be feeling the cold at all, I'm just feeling cold. It's like my body doesn't want to deal with temperature. I've also been feeling just a bit generally unwell and really lethargic and light headed and headach-y. I also skipped my sugar pills this month (I have done that before though).

I'm a bit stressed at the moment due to exams and am probably not eating as well as I should be. I've had a cold on and off for the past few months (it normally only flares up when I'm at work - I don't think my body likes air conditioning)

Any suggestions on what this could be? I thought it might have been circulation problems, but my skin isn't turning a different colour and if I press down on my fingernails they go back to being pink quickly.

My psychiatrist recently sent me for blood tests but I have not bothered getting the results yet... He was checking iron levels because they are generally always a bit low (I eat very little meat). And I'm also getting my wisdom teeth removed next month (They are pushing through the gums a little bit although with the numbness they aren't hurting!).

I was also thinking maybe it could be the flu? Just a strange kind of flu...?

Any suggestions would be great. I'm going to try and go to the doctor at some point this week but it's hard because of exams and work.

Thanks in advance!

Just a strange kind of flu...? * on and off virus for past few mths, which flares at certain times (at work)* headachy* lethargic* feeling generally unwell (malaise)* numbness* temp regulation issues (or feeling cold more) (check your body temp, you may find it to be a bit lower than normal)* light headed Those symptoms make me think of chronic fatigue dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS). CFIDS tends to flare and can be varying between times of like wellness and fluey symptoms esp in its early years of it. (slow onset CFIDS). Its too early to say if you have this issue but from your symptoms, this is what it may well be. Take care not to push yourself too hard or you may find this illness kicks in full swing. If you do have slow onset early CFIDS, it's crutial at this point not to make it worst http://wwcoco.com/cfids/bernesx.html Has a good CFIDS symptom list based on studies.
