I have had a persistant throat clearing / sore throat every day for three years already. Together with the sore throat I have also had fatigue and a strange kind of dizziness. In the last two years I have also developed muscle twitching and later also a burning sensation on my feet and sometimes also on my hands. I also have developed acne and red patches (dermatitis?) in my face. They do not go away with antibiotic creams. I have NOT had swollen lymph nodes but sometime my neck bothers me.

Whatever it is, it does not seem to be bacterial (I took antibiotics -Vibramicin- for three months and nothing happened). It is not allergic either (I have tried different types of antiallergics). Tests for Strep, TB, Brucellosis, Lyme, etc. All negative.

I have been tested for HIV1/2, HAV, HBV, HCV, EBV, HHV1,2,6, CMV. All negative. I am running out of viruses here!!! :)

Doctors tested me for Lupus, RA, MS, and other autoimmune diseases. All results were normal.

CAT scans normal. Endoscopy. Also negative. Colonoscopy showed microscopic lymphocitic colitis.

Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PS. I have seen 12 doctors already. They do not know what I have.

  • is the fatigue post exertional? eg comes on more after doing things? (maybe not immediately..but later on). What im trying to ask is if exercise.. negatively affects you?

  • I have almost the exact same symptoms. I don't have a sore throat but I have lots of drainage. Are you any closer to an explanation. Doc's can't find anything wrong with me either.
