I'm here on behalf of my best friend. He's been very sick the past while and I've noticed some odd symptoms. The walk-in doctor he's been going to just gives him some antacids and sends him on his way, but I think there's a little more going on here than meets the eye. Could I have a little different perspective here?
He is 16 years old, living in Canada. Caucasian, British and French. Overweight, games in his free time. About 5'7 and 150Ibs.

Recently he's been getting very bad chest pains, in the center of his chest. I've taught him relaxation breathing, but that only works for a little while to ease the stabbing pain.

His nail beds have turned blue. They are this eery blue color!

He has a chronic cough, I've always just chalked it up to his parents being smokers.

Constant pain, everywhere, especially the arms.

He has these infections in his big toes that are really disgusting. They've been there for around 5 years because he's too stubborn to see a doctor. It looks like ingrown toenails, but the fact that it hasn't healed whatsoever in such a long time worries me.

The biggest concern I have is that he's been throwing up non-stop for a few months now. Every time he eats something, he throws up. Everytime he DOESN'T eat something he throws up. He wakes up, he wakes up in the middle of the night, he's at school, he's resting, he's sitting, he's standing, he's lying down.. EVERYTHING makes him nauseaous.

So.. putting these things together.. or only a few together as I'm not sure which are related... what do you think could be wrong? Please help! I'm so worried about him.

Did he ever get checked for pulmonary and cardiovascular diseases? Sadly, no. He has been to the doctor very few times in his life and rarely goes for simple things like checkups. It does seem like a likely cause for his problems.
