I am working 10 hr days for a doctor, grab a quick snack lunch no time lately for more, having wt loss, hair thinning/dry, exhaustion, loss of appetite...few bites and just don't care if eat it or not. I am on thyroid medicine and now a vitamin. Your thoughts on this?

  • You sound like you are stressed and maybe depressed. All of those symptoms are consistent with depression. If you are not eating well you are making all of the symptoms worse. You should check it out with your doctor and maybe a psychologist. Maybe you should cut down your hours if you can- get some consistent rest (at least for a while). Could your boss let you work a few shorter days a week if not change you to 8-9 hrs every day?

  • you must on no account allow this doctor to bite you like this.say something like:clear off,you importuning medico!we all have our dlives and juices, but i am trying to get my snap in peace." that should fix him.it is bound to be off putting, and it is no surprise that you dont feel quite the ticket. sounds to me ,also ,as if you are sufferling from a yeast infection, plobably from the praque on the doctors teeth.he should know better!try spitting a rittle sariva into a grass of cold water, and chucking it over him when he reast expects it.you never know.i note that eating is involved.are you eating the light foods for the time of year?if there is clab in that sandwich it is dead long.you should have warming foods for winter, rike ramb and pork.i doubt that you have done your chakras irreversible harm, but you should watch it.take a week off .get twelve hours sleep a night. look up some old flends. walk a minimum of two miles a day in a preasant park or garden.orliental if possibaru.get at least one chinese meal everly day, that you do not plepare yourself.and tell this doctor that ten hours a day is too much for you .you should work a maximum of seven hours,in accordance with the cosmic wheel.there are accursed western cures for thinning hair but they are very toxic and you should on no account ask the chemist for minoxidil.o.k.?get your appetite back with a short fast of no more than one cycle of the sun dragon.that is twenty four of your western hours.,during which you watch as many comedy films as you can manage.the work of the accursed westerner and plucker of the samisen, who calls himself steve martin might be applopliate. doctor of oriental medicine.

  • Just an update, I went to the new doctor. Told him maybe I was just stressed and burned out or crazy! He said with a smile "maybe" but first we are going to do these test ...thyroid, blood work, adrenal glands, sleep study and my medications and be sure there is not a physical reason for all that. IF we find nothing then we will address the stress and burnout. I think I have lucked up this time to find one that won't leave something to chance. As for the humor in one answer, in the medical field you learn to laugh or you would be crying all the time....lol....My favorite motto is "smile...it spreads".....thanks for all the answers and support
