  • Those can be alot of different things going on. How long has it lasted? Just to tell you----those are also signs of Chronic fatigue syndrome. My 11yo is in the process of being diagnosed with it or EBV. She was so fatigued that she missed 23 days of school and now she is working herself up to just 1 hour/day of school. Her hearing and eyes have become very sensitive to noises and lights. She can't handle school for very long without becoming extremely fatigued. I guess fatigue really isn't the right word for it----up until 1 week ago----her day was getting out of bed---trying not to pass out, walk downstairs, go back to sleep on sofa. That was it. Her headaches have been so bad she can't sit up. Dr told us to not give her any motrin/tylenol---due to rebound effect. So she can only take it one dose every 3 days. She was taking it around the clock---every 3 hours. After a while---it can GIVE you the headaches. It never worked anyways.

  • If you've had the problem short term.. it's probably just viral.. even if you are not feeling like you have a temp. If you've had the problem thou for 6 mths AND also are getting "post excertional fatigue" .. you should then try to see someone who specialises in CFS. For proper CFS diagnosis.. the condition has to be there for 6 mths. MOM.. those symptoms of your daughters certainly sound like CFS. It should be easy to see if she has EBV just by a blood test.
