Chronic tension headache

Does anyone know of a medication or vitamin that would help a tension headache?I have had this continous squeezing of my head for the past 5 years.I really don't like to take meds but have tried the lortab,robaxin,even 5-htp.I feel like I am never gonna find a cure.Please,any suggestions?

  • I had chronic headaches several years ago. After working with a Neuro trying meds, I gave up and just relied on my own OTC method of 2 Excedrine Migraine tablets with one Motrin tablet. Not something you want to do constantly, and especially care for your stomach re: the Ibuprofen. I also got a funny tip to eat raw carrots (vitamin A, others?), and it does actually make me feel better at times.
