chronic headaches

My husband suffer's from chronic headaches that can last up to three months. Does anyone have any advice? We have been to the doctor, had ct scans, mri's all of it and still no answers. They are now trying him on amytriptiline as a maintanence drug, but it isnt working. Any suggestions?
