Blood clotting

I had my blood drawn today (fasting glucose), and the tech couldn't get it to come out at a steady rate. she had to keep "pumping" my vein i suppose, around the needle to coerce the blood to come out. And even then it was trickling. She filled a few vials and showed the other tech, and she sounded surprised and said "it's already clotting". Is it bad that it clotted right away? What does that mean?
