Ok so ive been feeling ill now for about 7 months..
Started in February when me and a mate ate these Chicken Roll
things, only food we ate that was the same, in which we boh had exactly the same Gastro symptons for 2 weeks..
Nausea was the main sympton, Diarhea for about a week.

Settled for about 2 months..
Then I had an incident in june while on holidays, Started with Yellow Stool that wasnt diarhea, felt nausea, then an eposode of Chronis Diarhea for about a week and a half until a GP prescribed me Anti biotics which cleared it up, noticed a difference after one day of taking the antibiotics.

Felt fine Stool was normal for about 6 weeks then it started again,
yellow stool and bad nausea, burbing heaps through the day,
when i let a big burb out it feels better then the Nausea returns.
Had some loose stools but no diahrea..Undigested food in stool,
as well as yellow jelly like stuff, which i think is mucos.
GP prscribed more anitbiotics, which had no effect, although the anti biotics were different from the first ones due to being from 2 different GP's.

I have noticed when I have a beer or wine, i can feel the liquid in my stomach which fells like a really cold sensation in my stomach.

Through the GP, ive been refered and done 2 scans to check Gallbladder/bile which has returned normal, and in the othe scan all other organs apear normal.
Stool test returned nothing..

GP prescribed Nexium for acid reflux, which does not seem to be working..
Been screened for Celiac which returned negative.

So I guess what else could cause Yellow Stool, Nausea??
Could i have an infection that has come back and my body has not been able to fight it off?

  • Yellow stool can be caused by food passing thru the digestive tract too quickly. Alot of the time it is caused by a bacteria infection. The onset is usually sudden tho. You need to ask the doctor about your wbcc and sed rate. Yellow stool can also result from the liver not producing enough bile. The less the liver and gallbladder function the lighter the stool. You need to have a barrium xray as well as a colonscopy done. Also you should ask for liver tests. You might have crohns or ulcerative colitis. Both of these diseases can cause your symptoms. Kiera

  • I had a full blood test done which results were all normal..WBCC was 6.5 which im told is fine.I had a scan for colitis which was negative. My liver and gallbladder function were examined and were fine. My stool has not been constant yellow, it has changed between between brown and yellow. And only been yellow twice in the last 2 weeks.Undigested food particles are present and jelly stuff which i assume is mucus.Nausea has remained the entire time. Each time yellow stool and nausea has occurred badly ive had cold/flu symptons the week before it. I guess next is the barrium xray and a colonscopy.

  • The only way to get a correct diagnose of both Crohns and UC is unfortuanatly by colonscopy. I had neg. feces tests as well as a normal crp and sed rate, but they found ulcers in my colon. I did have a slightly elevated wbcc tho. Like you I have mucous and undigested food in my stool. I have 2-5 bm's (wet, formed stool that ranges from yellow to brown) a day when the colitis is under control, but never normal looking stool anymore. When I am in a flair I have the flu symptoms (fatigue and muscle aches) that you describe. I have nausea as well, but not every time I flair. I have also noted that coffee causes nausea for me. For the doctors to put you on antibiotics you would think that you had an elevated crp? I'm just thinking out loud here. Since you mentioned that you dont have an elevated wbbc. Have you asked about that? Bacterial infections are seen in ppl with a crp above 50. (at least that is what I have been told) Hope you get some help soon! Kiera

  • I actually demanded to the 2 doctors eachtime for anti biotics before any of my results came back..My GP was hesitant to do it.. but she did give me the tablets. When the tests did come back she said there was no sign of any bacteria in the stool. After the gallbladder/bile test and colitis scan the Dr did say that Chrones was a possibility but that my WBCC should have been higher if i did have it.. So she concluded that i had a bacteria infection first while on holidays, then it came back in which the 2nd dose of anti biotics has cleared up,and she said my nausea was acid reflux, which she prescribed Nexium.Im really hoping this is the case.. However here i am again with yellow stool and terrible nausea.. Unsure of my CRP.. ill have to ring tommorrow to check if that test was done with my last blood test.. I had a full blood test done..so it should show. Thank you.

Talk to your doctor about seeing a GI. Discuss the matter with someonewho is experienced in that field.

Discuss the matter with someonewho is experienced in that field.your not alone I had a colonoscopy twice-they find me in perfect health, I had a barium enima, and I still have yellow stools 45 minautes after eating anything. Some are loose and some are very hard and clay like with red blood on it. However on coclonscopies they see no ulcers, no nothing all is normal and pink inside. I have absolutely no pain, but my solid BM has mucus too. other times it all mustard colored and loose.-it that normal? I am female, lactating , does this have anything to do woth it. I have had this for abt 6 yrs now. My md says i am in perfect health- but i always feel dehydrated, I drink abt 30 oz a day,but i dont like water.-please advise...

  • I have these same problems, the biggest being the nausea. Mine started over a year ago and hasn't stopped since. I have been to a gi several times and have had every scan, surgery and xray done. They all found my in perfect health, except the last visit to the er they made me eat a radiative egg for testing. All of this led to gastroparesis/gerd. My symptoms, from what everyone has been saying, send to be a little more intense then the others, so I don't know if this is what you have. Worth a try to request a testing for these 2.

  • zero98088 -- I realise that this is an old post, but I was wondering whether you ever received some insight into what was wrong? Would love to know as I have had identical symptoms for 6 months, also beginning with a infection whilst travelling, then a short spell of being fine, and now virtually the same as what you describe so well. Thanks in advance for any info, WS
