For the last couple months i have been having some weird pressure pain right between the lower area of the sternum and above the belly button. It is not radiating pain and it doesn't hurt unless i rub over it with my finger. What organs are in that area? Can it still be some kinda musculoskeletal problem although i don't feel any pain radiating to my back or anything?

When i do push on it though it is like a sharp pain..almost like a very very bad bruise.

Has anyone ever experienced such pain or know any stomach disorder that could cause that?

  • Do you work out and do stomach crunches? Sometimes when you strain those muscles, the pain in quite quite intense - in fact it happened to me today when I pressed on my stomache - then I remembered having gone through this before; weird that I keep forgetting!. If you workout, keep note when you do ab work..That's my 2 cents :)

  • I have similiar pain, only it appears to be in the spleen area. Developed to feel similiar to RSD pain in original injury site. Can RSD spread to internal organs?
