for close to a month now i've been suffering with on and off waves of burning sensations in my stomach. this really came out of nowhere for me as i eat for the most part a flawless diet rich in vegetables, flax seed, only water, decaf teas, etc.
it all started one night when i drank a large glass of water with a shots worth of apple cider vinegar. note- i've had ACV in the past and never had any problems with it before. about 2 or so hours later i stupidly ate a frozen pizza because i was hungry. that's when it started, it was like my stomach went crazy, i got sensations that were like waves of burning in my stomach. i thought it was over after that night but it's continued ever since on and off. a few days later i developed an almost choking/gagging feeling in my throat which i thought was just nerves.
someone suggested this could be acid reflux and told me to take priosec. once i started taking that i started burping all the time. plain freaking water now makes me burp. i've never had gastro issues until this started. i've also noticed that my stools are now only partially digested and the color has changed to very light brown almost yellow color with a loose consistancy. could the priosec be causing this?
i've been to a nurse who told me to take priosec for 2 months and ordered a blood test for h. pylori and a 3 day stool sample test for blood. i'll get the results next week
i'm hesitant to take this priosec for long term as i've read its hard coming off of it. also the notion of completely turning off acid production in the stomach seems a bit unhealthy. does anyone have suggestions as to what this sounds like and how i should deal with the problem?
