I had gallbladder sxy on 1-2-08. 4 days post I was hospitalized for a week with pancreatitis, bile leak, and a gall stone attack. I had an MRCP done to insert an external biliary stent. I also had an ERCP done to insert an internal biliary stent and they removed 2 gallstones that were missed during my initial surgery. I had every kind of x-ray, CT, MRI and bloodwork done for almost anything you can think of. I am doing much better but, am having an unknown lower abdominal pain. It happens anywhere from 2-6 times a day. It kind of feels like a bowling ball is trying to come up the tube from my stomach. It happens any time during the day. It is a severely painful squeezing, spasm like pain that can last a few seconds to a few minutes. I saw my surgeon and he did not know what it could be. I also saw my GI specialist the other day and he was not sure what it could be either. I made an appt for 2-14-08 to have an upper endoscopy at which time my GI Doc will remove the internal stent and make sure everything looks normal. He says it might be the stent causing this but is unsure? Does anyone have any ideas or experience with similar symptoms?? Thanks..Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
