Husband and I began to have unremitting diarrhea at the first of March. Have since had colonoscopies, endoscopies, stool and blood tests (doctors claim we don't have any odd results that indicate infection of any sort), and had a capsule endoscopy two weeks ago with nothing found.
Two specialists in gastro - they have no clue. It appears to us to be environmental, so we ceased drinking our water and using ice for a period of time with no change. We can barely eat, so are definitely not infecting ourselves from food sources.
I have lost 40 pounds since March - husband has not lost so much. I'm now close to 100 pounds and am 5'7" . . . I look like I am starving and I am! We can not eat, have acute diarrhea, and we're pretty freaked out.
We spent 2 weeks in Fiji diving in November 2009 - that's the only travel outside of the U.S. we have done.
