Too embarrassed to go to ER

I'll just be as straight forward with this as possible.

It feels like somewhere between 2 and 4 inches up my rear end there is a VERY sore spot. It feels like it might be a bump. It has been pretty painful for the last few days. The pain now is becoming unbearable.

If I go to the emergency room(not been to the doctor in years and years) how unpleasant is this going to be. I assume that the doctor will have to stick something up me and puncture it or lance it?????

Is this something that an emergency room doctor is going to be able to look at?

DESPERATELY needing help............
