So today I had blood in my stool, I'm not sure if thats really what it is since it's not visible in the stool but rather just there on the first wipe. This happened before a couple months ago and these are the only two instances i can think of this happening. I've had no pain or anything and the stool itself was rather normal. Think this is anything i should worry about?

  • I think it is best that you get checked JUST INCASE. However if there is no pain then hopefully it should not be serious. Did you have to strain? As that can sometimes cause aggravation and so bleeding can occur.

  • It may just be a hemmeroid; especially if you had to strain to have a bowel movement. If it is just a small amount of pink blood on the tissue, I wouldn't worry much about it. If it continues to happen or the blood increases, I'd definitely get it checked out by a doctor. Just my opinion.God Bless.

  • Blood in the stool should almost certainly be checked out. If you go to see your doctor he/she will probably have a look there and then when you visit. They will check to see and feel if there is anything abnormal going on. It's what happened to me. If they think there may be a problem, I think you will be referred to have things checked out just to make sure. I could be wrong about this, but I seem to remember being told that if the blood is like a dirty colour, darkish, then it's more worrying. I'm not certain about this, I just remember someone telling me. It could be haemmeroids or even a small tear. Good luck.
