Hello all! This is my first post here. :)
For about four or five days now, I've had a very strange feeling in my upper abdomen. It feels heavy - I'm not sure if bloated is the right word, since I've never felt like this before. I have little appetite and I'm burping more often than usual. In fact, nearly every time I take a drink of water or juice, I end up burping. I haven't felt like throwing up, but oftentimes I feel like a burp is traveling up from my stomach and then just gives up halfway up to my mouth.
I have generalized anxiety disorder, though 90% of the time I feel absolutely fine. However, this abdominal discomfort episode caused a flare-up in anxiety, and I guess it could be possible that my symptoms are anxiety-related. Anxiety certainly isn't playing fair if it can cause symptoms like these! Apart from the stomach thing, I've also been feeling colder than normal and I have had a few moderate-intensity anxiety attacks, though I'm trying to separate the stomach symptoms from the anxiety symptoms.
I only managed to take in about 800 calories yesterday and today is looking to turn out the same. I hope this doesn't harm me too much.
In any case, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what I'm going through. I'm thinking it might be a stomach virus of some sort, but I haven't been vomiting - just burping.
Thank you for your time!
