Hi my son has been complaning about an bad stomach pain for weeks, We have taken him to the Er numersous times. The first time they said he was constipated, then a week later they said it was gastritis. Well we seen our famly dr and she ran some test and he came back with an High IgG level. But they didnt do the whole celiac panel to see if it was celiac. Well now he woke up with major joint pains. has anyone had this happen to them. He also gets major mouth sores in and around his mouth. Everytime i google i get lupus, but i am sure hoping this is not the case.

  • You didn't say how old your son is. Hemochromatosis (accumulation of too much iron in the body) can cause a range of symptoms, including joint pain, but typical onset for males isn't until age 20-30. It's easy to treat (regular blood donation), but can cause a lot of problems if left untreated. You might ask the doc to check his blood iron levels.
