I am 20 years old and was just tested positve for chamydia but for 7 months now, i havent had any periods, and have had a change in bowls, no sex drive and pain inside my vagina. My bowls are as such...constipation lasting a week, then diarreaha the next, then back to consipation and then diarreah. It also hurts to poo or even pass gas!! As i mentioned, no periods. was on birth control for years maintaining normals periods for years....had a laporoscopy due to abdominal pain ( was then noticed that scar tissue was found on every organ inside, causing my organs to fuse together) and since then, no periods!! the doctors even took me off birth control and still nothing!! im not able to have sex due to the pain is causes. My doctor does a physical exam to measure my pain and swolleness inside and that even makes me scream out in pain!! i want to know if all this is the cause of chlamydia that was found months too late? ive been told that if chlamydia goes unnoticed/treated for months, it will cause problems in the repoductive system and may even cause IBS....do you think thats where im headed with this? im scared the my repoduc. system is now screwed!! im only 20!! please help me! its been 7 months of this!!

  • I don't think that sounds quite right. Maybe you should get checked for Endimetriosis. Pronounced En-do-mee-tree-oh-sis. I know that causes pain, excrutiating pain during sex, AND during bwoel movements. Anything moving around in there will cause you to have pain. Also not sure about the lask of periods, BUT I do know (Lets call it ENDO) Endo will make you have very painful cramps and it causes scar tissue to build of over your ovaries and thats why. SO if I was you I would goto a specialist in Endo, such as a gynacologist. Not your family doctor because he won't be able to tell you. He can just refer you. Read up on this, I have had similar problems but they are not as severe in which I do not have tissue builst up. But it does still hurt me to have bowel movements sometimes and I cant have sex most of the time either. I had chlamydia also about 5 years ago, and was treated right away. I have been to the doctor to see why I am still in pain but he can't tell me anything. But you having built up scar tissue can be from chlamyidia, but I would check out this ENDO first. Look it up on the net and then goto your family doctor and get a referrel to a real gynocologist.Hope you find out what's wrong.

  • ORIGANL WRITER::: if i didnt mention, i did have a laporoscopy in december, just 3 months ago, and found no indication of endo....but my doctor whom i saw yesturday said in fact, after labs came back, i was tested positive for clamydia. He also said that still, there is a chance that my pain is NOT due to the chlamydia, and in fact could be from endo which was to deep or hidden to see in the laporos so it could be, that he just didnt see it!! So, i started my antibiotics and he will check to see the progress of that in 3 weeks. He says he also wants to preform another laporoscopy in 2 months to see where the scar tissue has grown, OR if it has even grown back for that matter!!! i did miss another period this month, so now its going on another 7 months with NO PERIODS!!! . he said that the chlamydia sholuld NOT be causing me to miss my periods...that anther problem we have yet to discover.....during the laporoscopy, he will also perform a dye test,( shooting blue dye up into my tubes to see if they are blocked),,,that will tell us even more info!!

  • Please get yourself some good quality probiotics to take while you are on the antibiotics. This will help prevent further problems with your bowels and help rebuild your intestinal flora. have you had a vaginal ultrasound done? I assume so, but if not you surely should. Consider acupuncture to help regulate your cycle - it works wonders for women's issues and all sorts of gynecological problems. It would be a very good adjunct treatment to try along with your allopathic treatment.Visit www.acufinder.com to find a practitioner near you. Best wishes.DOM

  • I recommend that you look up natural medicine and try and resolve your problem that way. One thing I have noticed is that doctors just love to prescribe medicine which in the end may fix one problem but give you another one later on (side effects) In the past I've had problems with my menstruation cycle and it was mainly due to a hormonal inbalance many times caused by large fluctuations in weight, I would loss weight too fast or gain and this would happen. Many times doctors prescribed provera then birth control. This was mainly when I would have a menstraution that would not stop, I bled for over a month at one point. The problem is that if you don't get your period for mamy months your tissue lining in your uterus becomes thick, it accumulates and then you might bleed excessively and see huge pieces of uterus lining which look like blood clots coming down all the time. So in conclusion do yourself a favor and look up natural medicine for both of your conditions. You are so much better off than having to deal with the side effects of convenctional medicine. Take care and good luck.

It sounds a lot like IBS. I have some of the same problems, I'll start off with constipation, then it would progress to diarreah. Now it's mostly diarreah. I also had a lot of scar tissue due to multiple surgeries and some of my organs fuse together. I'm not sure what type of damage the STD may have caused if any you may need to check with your GYN on that. I hope that you find the answers that you are seeking and also I hope you fell better.

  • Probiotics are not to be taken while on an antibiotic. You are to wait until the antibiotic is finished, then take the probiotic. If taken at the same time it'll cause the antibiotic not to work.Probiotics are great and work well when used properly.

  • Here is some info on probiotics to help while using antibiotics: Effects of Antibiotics on Normal Flora - Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria are fragile, both in probiotics and in the intestine, so even small stresses can cause imbalances - This fragility causes a very severe drop in lactobacilli after taking antibiotics. Worse in upper GI tract where there are smaller numbers of bacteria. - Most antibiotics absorbed in upper GI tract, less concentrated in the lower GI tract- Even a single course of antibiotics will cause major imbalances in GI tract microflora- (ampicillin, clindamycin, erythromycin, tetracycline, metronidazole) can cause a loss of 90% of microflora. - If no probiotics given after antibiotic use, after re-growth, the type of flora will be altered. There will be more yeast and more bacteria which are resistant to the antibiotic- It is best to take probiotics during antibiotic use, because taking probiotic after taking antibiotic will help to replace normal flora but process will take longer The above website has great info and is www.NIHADC.com/nutrition_bowel.htm I don't think there is any problem with taking a probiotic WHILE you are still taking an antibiotic, just keep the two separated by at least 2 hours and you should be fine. Look for one that contains several strains of acidopholus, bifidus, rhamnosus and others. www.vitacost.com has a good selection at great prices. Best wishes.DOM

  • Please do not listen to anything Shula or Acuann tell you. My sister just passed away because Shula and Acuann told her that her doctor was wrong and she did not have a serious condition. Acuann even told her to get acupuncture to get healed. These people are going to be investigated for practicing medicine without a license. Shula and Acuann are specifically wanted in connection with my sisters homocide. Thats right homocide. If she would have listened to her doctor instead of these internet quacks she would still be here today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to put these two behind bars and shut this website down for good.
