Well I am glad I stumbled upon this forum and I am hoping someone will be able to give me just a slice of information regarding my current state.
I am a 22 year old female and I think I am in very good shape. However, lately I have been having so many small symptoms that I am beginning to wonder if things are related.
This week I have had a horrible time with chest pressure and painful swallowing. It feels like something is constantly stuck in my throat and no matter how much I drink, it won't go away. This has gone on for 3 days now and today I have also developed a stomach pain. It feels like I am always hungry, but if I eat it retuns again.
A couple of years ago, I was having severe abdominal pains. I had an upper barium test, an ultrasound, several blood tests, a rectal exam (I also had malena) and was put on a variety of drugs all with no diagnosis, or relief. Then suddenly out of the blue the pains stopped (they lasted for a couple of months). The doctor passed it off as IBS, but the meds I took for that did nothing, so I am convinced it is not that.
I am originally from Canada, but I am currently living in Japan, with a far different health care system, so going to the doctor is not really an option. Plus, I want to have some sort of understanding of what is going on with me a bit if I do decide to go.
If anyone can help out at all, I would really appreciate that!
