Im 18 im pretty healthy and have a shocking diet, i eat garbage.
Im writing this in regard to some advice i keep getting gross mucous in my stool lots of it, some times ill try to ***t and mucous comes out. My stomachs been very upset lately it wont stop rumbleing. I cant see any blood in my stool. usually i have a good solid normal bog, then about an hour after i feel the need to go back to the toilet for another, only slime and a bit of ***t comes out. Could all of this be blamed by my horrible diet. Or somthing else. Any help would be great.

  • You need to see a doctor. This could be the beginning of colitis.

  • Disregard immediately above comment. Never write off a symptom complex as something benign when it could be (as PiaSava stated) the beginning of a real disease process, like colitis. Parasites are self-limited events that last at most a few weeks, unless you're severely immunocompromised. IBS, could be, but it could also be the start of ulcerative proctitis. Given your age group and your description of urgency (need to run back to evacuate again after a recent BM) you should see your gastroenterologist.

  • The "mucous" when you ***t may be caused by beer. We used to call this "swamp as*". This is caused by the yeast found in beer. Lay off the junk food and beer and then see if it clears up. If not, get to a doctor for testing.

  • My husband has the same symptoms. He has the exact mucous problem. He never has irregular or unusual bowel movements. Other symptoms are gas, bloating, stomache distension, pain under ribcage (probably from gas) and his tongue is swollen with teeth marks along the side.He was diagnosed with ulceritive proctitis and none of the medications have helped. Last year we had to switch doctors and the new doctor said he didn't see any proctitis, but he did see internal hemmroids.... that medicine didn't help either. It seems like only some of his symproms fit both diagnosis' and he now has no idea what he has.He eats healthy, does drink, but not often. Please let us know if you find anything out. So far, he has had little help from doctors.
