Hi,

I'm 24 years old, and since may,2008. every 3 weeks i would be having sharp pains in upper stomach area for 2 and half hours and then following with vomiting. I would aways throw up water and some clear green/ bitter stuff and it would last about 6 hours.
My familly doctor gave me pills for acidy cuz he thought i have high acid in the stomach, then i stayed away from anything that has acid and still i get sick. The other day it happend again, sharp pain and vomiting and i went to the emergncy room to give me an IV cuz i lost soo much fluides and they ran blood test, urin test and they took an x-ray, they found nothing wrong.
But a year and half ago i did have some stomach flue, but everybody in my family had it, and now they don't have any problems. I'm still waiting to see a specialist but untill then i don't know what to do. HELP!!!

  • I had the same issue for years and just like you my regular doctor said it was acid until one day i had blood in my vomit. Went to the hospital nothing came up will X-ray and all the blood test reveal nothing. I was in so much pain until this indian doctor came send me for a test where they inject me with some fluid that supposed to go glow and go through my digestive system i waited for like 3 hours on the table with some sort of X-ray machine to follow the glow. When it got to a point it got stuck, never continue to move. So thats finally when they realize I had Gall Stone so I had to have emergency surgery to remove my Gallbladder, do NOT confound with with the urine bladder where people do get stone as well. the Gallbladder is totally different, part with the digestive system that store the bile for digestion.Trust me I had my share of pain, they could not pin point it before cause my pain was always in the left side, like i was having a heart attack, while the common patient with this usually have their pain on the right or right on the belly. The problem is not really acid it's fat. Check and see if you get the pain hours after a fatty meal, in the middle of the night. If yes no oil, tomato or anything that store a lot of fat meat like pork was ***l for me. Good luck and let me know.Hi,I'm 24 years old, and since may,2008. every 3 weeks i would be having sharp pains in upper stomach area for 2 and half hours and then following with vomiting. • I am 16 years old & I was just diagnosed with Gastritis after having an Endoscopy done, and had similar symptoms. I had the WORST upper stomach pains and I would throw up. Some other symptoms of mine were that I wouldn't eat very often at all, and lost some weight. At first I thought I just had the stomach flu, but this continued for months. Gastritis is an inflammation in the lining of the stomach, so I was given pills to coat the lining of my stomach before I eat so that it's not irritated, and I don't get stomach pains or throw up anymore. I hope this helps, it took the doctors a long time to come up with this diagnosis.:)
