Hello,

I have had gasritis for two months now. I take 20 mg of omeprazole every morning. I can eat after one hour. But basically all I can eat is bread, steamed vegetables (mainly peas) very diluted skim milk (20% milk 8-% water) or cantaloupe. Even then I have to take maalox afterwards. Anything else and I get such horrible burning in my stomach, heart, neck, head, feet and hands.
I had an endoscopy, so H. Pylori is ruled out. The doctor says just take the medicine a few more months and then lets see what happens. I think he is a nut, I need help much faster than this. I will look for another doctor, but my symptoms are really unbearable. Can you please help? Thank you

Nikita

  • unfortunately we are well aware as my fiancee is having the same problems for 3 months now the pain is acute and she has been in the ambulance twice had lots of tests and told like yourself to take pain killers and come back in 3 months. it could be gallstones, endometriosis ,they refuse to do a laparoscopy so we are in a similiar situation.i am taking her to a naturapath because the doctors arent doing anything but drugging her up,so give them a go and eat raw green veg, drink chinese green tea get it from a chinese herbalist not the supermarket and stay away from lots of fat good luck

  • Thank you so much for your help. Three years ago I was diagnosed with cysts on my ovaries. The pain was unbearable and the doctors told me that I have to remove my ovaries and take synthetic hormones the rest of my life. I was not even 40 at the time. I actually started doing yogic breathing (pranayama) and took natural herbs and natural progesterone and was able to get rid of them. The same thing happened with a back injury. The doctor said I needed to do surgery and I may never be able to fully bend forward again. A chiropractor cured me within a couple of sessions.Best of luck.

  • Try DGL licorice supplements before every meal and at bedtime. It worked for me.

  • I have the same thing as you. i'm of the 40mg, so i guess you should ask if they can up your dose to a stronger version.

My symptoms are pretty much the same. Some days I have trouble getting enough calories. Main foods: cream of wheat, Lipton chicken noodle soup, ***m chowder seems to work. I have had two endoscopies and get chest pain sometime that prompted doctors to check out my heart with a bunch of tests, all negative. Nothing I do seems to improve it. I keep trying to make adjustments to my diet to find foods that work better .. but it's become hopeless.
