My roomate(no,really,my roomate)4 weeks ago started noticing that his stomach started swelling up.he looks like he's 9 months pregnant.he's vomiting, and bright red blood in stool, eventually no stool, just blood.I took him to the emergency room. The hostipittle kept him for 3 days.He said they drained his abdoman of 2.7 oz.of fluid. It's been 1 week, and symptoms are just as bad if not worse. His excuse for not going back to doctor is no money.Yes this is only an excuse! He keeps asking me if I know of any home remedy for the stomach bloating(wich is now hard to the touch).I dont want to be rude and say"listen dude,u need to go to a doctor.if your not, than I dont wanna hear it!"
So symptoms are as follows:
extream heartburn,blood for stool,hard time urinating,fatiuge.
Does anybody know what i could say to him that wouldnt offend, yet get him to do something?
Oh,also we have a verry bad case of bedbugs to.Could they have anything to do with this?

  • Potential options: 1. Tell him he really won't have to worry about money if this kills him2. Call his parents3. Let him know that hospitals will work with him on setting up payment plans4. Ask him - if he had a choice between potentially dying (yes i really think it's THAT serious) or setting up a payment plan with the hospital - which does he want? Dying vs. owing someone some $? p.s. I'm not a dr. With my many years of GI problems, I know that what you're describing is VERY serious.
