Scared to take a dump

I hate going to the bathroom now. I feel like it takes to much concentration and worry to do so. I can't afford to see a doctor for a while so I need some help from you guys. Everytime I try crapping it's difficult to do first off. When it does happen it hurts and I never know if my feces will be huge or runny. A few times inbetween weeks my **** looks like and feels like sand. What I eat doesn't change the spontaneous results. Usually my stool is oddly dark. It also feels like my ******e is falling out and losing function. Occasionally it will get really swollen too. The sand like **** really bugs me. Am I like ****ting out a damaged organ or something? I've never **** sand in my life until these last few months. I'm concerned and confused. Would this have any thing to do with esophagitis?

  • I have no idea about the stools that look and feel like they're full of sand. Someone else will have to answer that one. But no, you couldn't be passing a damaged organ. It's got to be something produced in your esophagus, stomach, or intestines. I know nothing about esophagitis, can't answer that either. When you say that it's difficult to defecate, what do you mean? Do you have to strain? And you say it hurts -- is that the feeling of passing sand, or something more?About the feeling of your "******e falling out and losing function ... occasionally it will get really swollen too," that sounds like either hemorrhoids or rectal prolapse. Or maybe both. I've never had hemorrhoids, so I can't tell you personally what those feel like. But I do have a slight rectal prolapse. It doesn't hurt or interfere with my defecation, but it feels like a pair of pursed lips emerging from my rectum. Does that description fit you at all?

  • Yeah actually that is a good way to describe it. That's why I say it feels like my ******e is falling out. I was saying it's difficult to defecate because it feels like I have no control over it going hardly. I'm still concerned about the sand thing but you're right on the last part. How serious is this condition? What eating habits can help it, and should I get medication if it is rectal prolapse?

  • Actually I have another thread going about rectal prolapse at http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=13718. Take a look. It has my questions about whether there are physical-therapy treatments for prolapse, talks about a physical-therapy experiment I'm doing, and has an item about a Chinese herbal treatment that's supposed to take care of any organ prolapse. The short version is that rectal prolapse is caused by weakening of the abdominal muscles and tendons that hold the rectum, colon, and other things in place. "Orthodox" medicine says that the only way to correct it is surgery. I don't believe that, which is why I started that other thread. My prolapse is mild and doesn't seem to be worsening, so I'm going to try my physical-therapy experiments before I try the herbal treatment. I consider surgery my last option. However, it sounds like your prolapse is a lot worse, so you might want to try the herbal treatment right away. I've had a lot of treatments from practitioners of Chinese medicine, and their fees have always been quite reasonable. As far as I know, eating habits don't affect prolapse either positively or negatively, unless you're regularly constipated and have to strain a lot. That's part of what can cause prolapse. Otherwise it's related to age or just having weak abdominal innards. And I sure hope you can get a solution for the sand-in-the-poop business. That sounds REALLY painful.

  • The bloated stomach thing sounds like it could be intestinal worms, these are quite common with undercooked foods, best to get it checked out if the problem persists.
