Hello! I'm looking for people with similar symptoms or ideas on what this might be =[

I have a recurring pain in my abdomen that i get about once or twice a year, for about the last ten years. The pain feels like its smack dab in the middle of my abdomen, and its INTENSE! the pain comes in waves that lasts for 2 -5 days. I know 2-5 days out of the year isnt much, but the pain is so unbearable. It is often accompanied by diahhrea. Nothing seems to help when i get these attacks. The pain is always exactly the same, i can recognize these pains from a mile away.

thoughts?

  • One of the issues might be irritable bowel syndrome. You're quite young so the possibility of a malignancy or other serious problem is quite low. You should also consider Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis but only a gastroenterologist can make this diagnosis. You will probably be best off making a visit to a GI doc. Good luck, SAngelo, MD
