okay i wrote on here before and now im desperate for some help im literally falling to pieces so here we go:
january 26:i started having pains my mum took me to the gp after a week they said they thught it was cyst on the ovaries and i had a appointment for two weeks after that to have a ultrasound

february 15: i started having sever diarrhea and sickness with a fever of 39 so my mum took my to the hospital they suspected appendicitas but did a ultrasound but coudlnt see anything as i didnt have a full bladder as i couldnt keep anything down so they did a laparsocpic surgerie and saw that my appedixs were inflammed so they took them out!

a week after that i was finally allowed home but i had a bad reaction to the anasthetic thats why they kept me in that long

i still had the pains when they let me home so 3 weeks after that i still wasnt in school as i could hardy move so my mum took me back to the gp who said it could jus be down to the operation

march 29: my mum had to take me to a&e again because i was being sick again and had a temp of 39!! they let me home april 1st and put it down to bein a bug!!

i still wasnt better after 1 and half weeks and i was now throwing up once again and once again had really high tempurture! so my mum took me to a&e after 2 days of being sick i was sevirly dehydrated and they kept me again this time i saw my peadiactric doctor and a gastroentrology doctor who decided to finally do a colonoscopy which was the worst experience of my life he said he saw inflammation in my colon but i still have not had any results! when i was in hopsital all these times they did blood work and whenever they did them it showed inflammation! but there still not doi anything

my symptoms are
severe abdominal pain located on lower right
somtimes get sever stabbing pains in the upper middle
diarrhea/loose stools 6-12 times a day
sickness
fever
alot of mucus and blood in stools!
very tired
very moody

i would appreciate anyone who had even the slightest information and im fed up of this and would like some information do you think i should get a second opinion? please please help me (sorry about the long post)

  • Have they done a full stool exam to check for parasites, e coli, clostridium difficile (THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT - Make sure they have checked for this)? You should get these test results, and get a complete stool exam if you haven't already. Have they ruled out Celiac? This seems a real possibility and they should have been able to rule this out. Celiac can cause inflammation like you are describing. Have they tested your gallbladder and liver function? Your docs sound like they are missing things, and I would get another opinion if you could...get all of your test and surgery records. Sorry can't offer much else other than getting the best quality PROBIOTIC you can find to help rebuild your intestinal flora. A PROBIOTIC that has several strains of beneficial bacteria would be best - Jarrow makes some good ones. You can find this at any good healthfood store, or visit www.vitacost.com for great prices. Make a brown rice congee(porridge): this is a very good food therapy to help aid digestion and give you more energy: Take 1 cup organic short grain brown rice to 5 cups pure spring water. Bring to boil, then simmer SLOWLY for at least 3-5 hours - the longer the better. Add freshly grated ginger to help with nausea and abdominal distension. This is very fortifying and helpful - please try this! Please cut out all dairy, sugar, and gluten (wheat) products and see if things improve. A bland diet is best. It may be helpful to keep a food journal and see if there is any connection to food intolerances...it may be contributing to your symptoms. Best wishesDOM

It is your right to have them. If you don't know what they have tested for, then you don't know what they have, or haven't, ruled out. This is very important, and will help with your diagnosis. Clostridium difficile is a bacteria that can cause a severe form of colitis and they need to have checked for this to rule it out. It is a specific test that needs to be done and a simple stool test won't usually include it. Please try the rice porridge and keep us posted. Best wishesDOM

  • i had a colonscopy done before and it really really hurt and i dont want it done again i need to get over the phobia!!! just thought i would update everyone in my symptoms You need to tell them how much it hurt last time and be firm that you do not want that pain again. They ought to sedate you. I've never had one, but I know you should not have to go through pain for that.

  • Nowadays they can put you to sleep til it is over with! There is no need for you to have to go thru the pain you did b/f having this done! My DD just had one done a month ago and she was fully put to sleep! Ask your doc about this and if he don't want to put you to sleep go to another doctor! I sure would! Good luck sweetie!

  • Milz...sorry it took me so long to post but I've had a very tough attack with my Pancreatitis and have to remain in bed most of the time Sweetie, you really need to let your parents deal with these doctors as it can really get rough when some of them get mad if their even questioned~I have been thru this b/f! When your going thru what you are having you really don't feel like dealing with these doctors! I know b/c I have to deal with all my doctors by myself! You really need to just take it easy and rest instead of worrying about what is wrong with yourself! Are your parents helping you at all with these doctors? I sure hope so! Do you know if your doctors have ruled out Pancreatitis yet? It can surely effect you in the way you are having symptoms and I know for I have seen specialists from all over Texas and Mississippi! Ask you doctor about this! My #1 Pancreas specialist is in the Houston Medical Center 6 hours away from me but he is the best that I have found! Where do you live? Being general is fine as I was wondering since you call your Mom "Mum" it leads me to believe that your not from around me! :) Since you have blood in your stools this can cause severe pain! Blood in your abdomen or intestines can be very painful! Hope your doctor gives you something to keep you out of pain! Wish I could help more but do keep us informed on how you are doing! Just know that eventually (it will seem like the shortest time is a long time when your in pain) they will find out what is wrong with you! As for the second opinion...it is a very good idea!! I got 10 opinions when I was Dxed with Pancreatitis! You do need to get a second opinion when you aren't satisfied with how the doctor is treating you and not telling you about your tests! Be safe and be strong! I am praying for you, BoRu

Forget the doctors they will put you in antidepressants before you know it. Treat yourself cautiously and research everything. Change your diet you might be too sensitive to some foods. You might need enzymes to help you digest certain food. If you do the research you will find suggestions for that condition. Good luck.

  • There is no reason why they shouldn't have sedated you when you had your colonoscopy done. I've never heard of that here. Definitely get a different doctor.Make sure they check for giardia, chron's disease, c. difficile (do you have diarrhea throughout the night? that is common for that), all that stuff. No ulcer or candida or anything?Best of luck to you.
