Hi, I am a fifteen year old female and I constantly feel sick. My stomach always hurts, its like I have a stomach ache that never goes away. Also, almost every day I get heartburn. Since this has been going on for the last few years, I have just learned to try and avoid foods that cause me to get bad heartburn. I also try not to take motrin because it really upsets my stomach. I take Zantac 75 for the heartburn and my doctor doesn't want to prescribe me anything for the hearburn because he thinks it is not that bad. Also, when I get the heartburn, I often get extremely nauseas. I often have to sleep sitting up because the heartburn and nausea is so bad. Occasionally when I get the heartburn, I feel like there is something stuck in the back of my throat, and sometimes I also cough. Anyone have any idea what this could be, or why I constantly have heartburn? My friend sugested GERD. Does anyone know anything about GERD?
