I am a healthy 20 year old college student who has never had many abdominal problems before. This past year I have been having extreme abdominal discomfort that will sometimes last days or weeks. I have put it off as just regular gas, but it continues to persist. The pain does not occur only with certain foods because my meals do not change between the times when I do have pain to the times when I do not. I eat plenty of fiber through my diet and am not having difficulty with bowl movements. I do worry sometimes that I have too many bowl movements in a day. The pain usually will last a few hours to a few days. It is a sharp pain that also causes minor soarness in my back. I was wondering if this is just a bad case of gas or if I should consult my doctor. Any suggestions?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
