I am a 67 yr old male diagnosed with a small hiatial hernia, on prilosec otc for 2 yrs. I have heartburn (or uncomfortable bloated feeling) most every night, that wakes me up. I get up and walk, do bend/stretch exercises until I pass wind and get relief. I have never read that passing wind relieves heartburn. Has anyone else experienced this, or read this? Or seen another condition that passing wind relieves? I had an upper GI 2 yrs ago and a lower GI 8 yrs ago. The lower GI found several pre-polyps, removed none.
