I've had this odd cycle of symptoms going on with my stools for a long time now. They've often been coming out in chunks on some days and leave behind a residue that's greasy and gross. Then some times I've had bowel movements that are extremely long and when I clean up it's almost as if it's still in my anus from how messy the toilet paper is. For those bowel movements I get really bad intestinal cramps. Such stools also appear broken off at one end also when they come out. Every once in a while there's a normal bowel movement also.
I have recently started taking fiber, in addition to probiotics I had already been taking. The fiber seemed to help stop the cycle and make my stools closer toward the spectrum of normal, but now the symptoms of having long, smelly, greasy stools is coming back, or stools that are broken up into several chunks.
Another note is that they also smell bad and some times i get an itchy feeling in my anus and have to clean up even though I haven't gone to the bathroom.
