So I'm wondering if anybody has any insight into my current bowel 'issues'.
I'll start by saying that I've been pretty stressed out during the past week or two, and that last week I took iron supplements 2-3 days for the first time (was feeling light-headed and dizzy on my period). I have been drinking normal amounts of water, though, and haven't changed my diet much--though some days I haven't eaten much at all.
My stool is black-ish, which I expected due to the iron. But it is quite hard to pass. I have the urge to go, and I push, and the poop is not hard, but it is just...slow. It's like the opposite of explosive diarrhea (sorry for the image). It's diarrhea that is extremely slow to pass.
I guess I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this in regards to something--whether it be taking iron supplements, stress, IBS, Crohn's disease, etc.
Note that there has been no blood in my stool.
