Hi, my Mum has been suffering from myeloma (blood cancer) for the last 2 years and goes monthly for chemotherapy. As you know, it causes constipation (severe) and heamorrhoids. She lives in Bulgaria and has not been able to get enough advise on what she must treat her condition with. She's been taking Senna, unfortunately, on a regular basis and it's not helping now. Her bowels are getting blocked very often. She eats fruits (pears) daily but it does not help a lot. I read that there are 4 groups of medicine for constipation and also found some brand names but most of them have got side effects. I can't judge which one would be the best for her (and also to use it as a long term remedy) but also she can't get help from her doctor.
