I posted earlier in the week and no one has responded yet. I have since found out I am pregnant and the doc told me to NOT have a colonscopy now and to wait it out as my bowel will change greatly over the next several months. I mostly have mucus in my stool but this morning noticed what looks like very slight greenish/yellowis pus in the stool. seems as though it is getting worse instead of better over time. I think I need tested but don't know where to turn. I never have diarrhea, just usually one soft stool a day. I have been having aches and pains in the belly but not sure if that is pregnancy related or colon related. No one wants to give me medicine but I would rather be alive in a year without a baby than dead! Any help would be appreciated.

  • Call the doctor and ask if you can bring in a stool sample to be tested in the office. Were you on any antibiotics??? Congrats on the pregnancy!!!!

  • Thank you for the congrats but I am so sad and scared all in the same "breath". I wasn't on any meds...just prenate vites. I am scared I have colon CA and I am only 37....my husband had one sex partner his whole life, his wife....they divorced and then I contracted this Herpes from him. Thanks to her we definitely know she cheated on him now. He never knowingly had symptoms then I got very sick with vag drainage and high fever. I had negative bloodwork for HSV but a positive culture...had my husband tested and he had positive blood unbeknownst to him. We were devastated and I was basically non-functioning for about 3mons...had a miscarriage through it all. Got pregnant again in August, miscarried, found a cancerous lesion on my leg that had to be removed then the bowel stuff started up again. The bowel stuff all started when I was going through such anxiety and depression over the miscarriage. I got myself together and it subsided. As you can see, I have had my share of sadness and would love to have this baby and get on with life but it keeps slapping me in the face every time I try to be optimistic. Thanks. Guess I will have to call the doc again on Monday and decide what to do.
