Hi I am a 28 year old female who has had a reoccurring problem without diagnosis.
For years now I have only pooped 2 to maybe 3 times a week. This doesn't seem to bother my lifestyle or eating habits. However there have been a number of times where I get dull to sharp pains in my left lower abdomen, distended or swollen stomach, constant nausea usually without vomiting (nausea and pain get worse upon moving), and I feel hungry but when I eat I feel like I want to vomit and only take a few bites. When this first started happening the doctor told me to eat more fiber and take supplements. I did and nothing helped. Sometimes all the fiber just made me more uncomfortable and bloated. Currently I eat a healthy diet: mostly veggies, fruits, grains, chicken, fish, and only drink water. I have had a colonoscopy that came back fine and one doctor even told me it was all in my head. For awhile I started to think I was crazy but I know I am not crazy when I can feel pain or a pinching sensation and am constantly nauseous. There was one point I could not eat for 3 days and sometimes I also feel out of it like I'm walking outside of my body or like I may pass out. I am going to see a new Gastro doc soon but am afraid they will run the same tests and tell me the same thing. Can anyone help??

When I was about your age I experienced similar symptoms and I was diagnosed with endometriosis which caused adhesions and eventually I developed a large benign ovarian cyst. Once the cyst was removed and the endometriosis went into remission (thanks to a pregnancy) the pain, nausea and distended belly went away. Just a thought. Hope you find answers and relief.
