I am a 41 year old female who has had stomach problems all her life. I was diagnosed with IBS at one time. Nothing real severe but sometimes certain things I ate would send me running to the bathroom and twice in my life I had a week long episode of diarrhea everytime I ate. Over the last week or 2 I have noticed that sometimes I feel a little sick to my stomach. I can't remember if anything else significant was going on other than that. I am usually not one to feel nauseous. I'm used to stomach cramping, gas, that kind of feeling. So anyway this past week on Wednesday, I got the awfullest(not sure if that's a word) cramping in my lower abdomen. It felt like someone had tied my insides in a knot. The cramping lasted for a little while and then subsided, but I felt like I had trapped gas. It felt like if I could just have a good bowel movement it would go away or it felt like if someone could take a pin and pop my stomach it would relieve it. I guess it felt like pressure in my lower abdomen. I'm not sure but I may have have been a little sick to my stomach afterwards. On Thursday, my stomach was hurting again with cramping, pressure, sensation of trapped gas in my lower stomach and felt sick to my stomach. I was starting to get a little worried, thinking of all the worse possible scenarios - ovarian cancer or colon cancer. It still felt like it would feel better if I had a good bowel movement. I'm not a constipated person, I usually go at least once a day. So Thursday evening I got Japanese takeout with Yumyum sauce. Yumyum sauce acts like a laxative on me. And sure enough it did. I did feel better afterward and on Friday I felt better than I had on Wednesday and Thursday. I still had a little bit of feeling sick to my stomach and some of the cramping returned. Sometimes I will get a sharp pain. I just feel like I've got gas trapped in my lower stomach. I am going to try changing my diet for a week or two and see if that helps. I was wondering if carbonated drinks were causing a problem or even gluten. I'm just not sure what is going on and of course my mind wanders to all the most horrific problems. If I'm not feeling any better in a week or two, guess I will need to see the doctor. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Sorry for going on for so long.
