I am not sure what information is useful so here goes. I am a 23 yr old male. I am overweight but workout regularly (competitive weightlifting). I was sick ~4months ago with what I thought was mild food poisoning/flu. After I got better, I tried to restart my workouts and had to stop from discomfort on my right side/back under my ribs. I havent worked out since hoping it would eventually pass but overtime the discomfort developed from when I workout, to when I lay on my side, and now I will have discomfort from walking. The discomfort comes and goes (doesnt bother me 90% of time) but my right side is always sensitive if I apply pressure or do heavy lifting. Main thing I'm wondering is if theres anything that stands out as flag that I should go to doctors for or am I okay waiting it out. Also, didnt mention above but weird sleep patterns seem to go hand in hand with the pain. Some nights I won't be able to fall asleep at all and other nights I'll sleep 12+ hours. The nights I dont sleep is not the pain keeping me awake just restlessness.
