Hi all,
I have had sudden onset left sided lower abdominal severe pain for a year now. When it first arrived I went to hospital and they took out my mildly inflamed appendix. Pain was still there but figured post-op. took little over 2 weeks to start doing things as per normal which is a little long for that kind of thing and was still a bit sore. Sudden onset exact same pain returned 3 weeks post-op and was sent by local doctor back to hospital which i was in for 5 days and had almost every test (including gyno exam) and felt a bit better and went about my normal life. The pain stayed with me though :( It gets more intense went I eat/drink and some days it is very difficult to motivate myself to forget the pain. I have seen a specialist since the beginning and he is not able to figure out what is wrong as yet cause everything comes back NORMAL!! I went in hospital yesterday for a colonoscopy which the prep was very painful to get through. Went under, woke up without feeling anything and throughout the day and especially today pain is back and getting more intense as the days go on. The specialist had mentioned that everything appears healthy and normal with small exception of some red spots in there which he has biopsied. He believes it is nothing and sure will come back fine (won't know for 2-3weeks!)
So i don't know what could be wrong with me now.... so frustrating! anyone else had these sort of issues that can help or suggest anything?? I'm desperate.

  • Did you ask about diverticulas? I have pain in my lower left side from it. It is a sore pain almost as if my inside were bruised very badly. The pain usually is more intense when I need to have a bowel movement, and very intense if I am constipated.
