I had my gallbladder removed and one week later I started having
pain and fever and no appetite. A CT scan showed fluid in the
right side. A tube was inserted and it drained for nine days. The
doc took it out and the fevers and pain started all over again within
24 hours. The CT showed more fluid and pus and the drainage tube
had to be reinserted. Very painful too!
My surgeon now tells me that he thinks my problem is related to the
bowel and not the gallbladder problems. He said that he was sure that
the first drainage was bile. Now, he's thinking Inflammatory bowel disease
or diverticultis, or something like that. He will be doing a colonoscopy
Has anyone ever heard of such a thing. I'm miserable. I've lost 30 pounds
and I have to take pain meds everyday just to exist.
