Is this Gastrointestinal?

My mum has had severe throat pain for over 4 years now. It is becoming progressively worse with loss of voice. She has seen various specialists and had numerous tests done but everything seems to come back fine. She definitely doesn't have acid reflux.

Has anyone else had a problem with their tongue, mouth and throat and had a gastrointestinal problem. She has always eaten very healthily and doesn't smoke or drink. She has suffered with constipation over the years though. She takes agiolax granules on a day to day basis to help her bowel movement. Could this be causing her problem?
